Understanding safeguarding

Last updated: 08/06/2021

The BF Safeguarding Board is working with different communities in Bracknell Forest to co-produce videos which are designed to help everyone understand what we can do to protect children and vulnerable adults across the borough.

Many thanks to the Bracknell Islamic Cultural Society (BICS) for their help with this first video.

Ann Craft Trust: Club Matters have produced a video that provides details on what safeguarding adults is and the responsibility of all organisations to look out for the welfare of all adults and follow up any safeguarding concerns that they may have about an adult.

Audio-visual resources on safeguarding adults

The following audio-visual resources raise awareness of abuse and neglect of adults with care and support needs and others tackled particular issues such as mate crime or hoarding. People with lived experience and their family carers were asked to review the resources, and their comments are provided.
